Who do you call when you get arrested?

Raven Ward

When someone is arrested, the first people they typically call are often close family members or friends. These individuals may include:

  1. Immediate Family Members: Such as parents, siblings, spouses, or children. These are the people with whom individuals often have strong emotional bonds and who they trust to provide support and assistance in times of crisis.

  2. Close Friends or Confidants: People who are considered trusted allies and who can offer emotional support, advice, and possibly assistance in contacting legal representation or arranging bail.

  3. Legal Representation: Depending on the circumstances of the arrest, individuals may also contact their attorney or legal representation immediately. If they do not have a personal attorney, they may request a public defender or seek legal counsel through other means.

  4. Bail Bond Agent: If the individual wishes to secure their release from custody through bail, they may contact a bail bond agent or bail bondsman to arrange for bail payment and release.
